Scholarship Deadline -
April 30, 2025

This scholarship is more than financial support—it’s a tribute to the hard work, sacrifice, and strength of Laborer families across Southern California, Arizona and New Mexico.

Last year, we awarded over $710,000 to 138 students—our biggest year yet. And after another record-breaking year of fundraising, we’re proud to be offering even more in 2025.

If you’re the child of a Southern California, Arizona or New Mexico Laborer and planning to attend college, university, or trade school, don’t miss this opportunity!  We believe in our families. We believe in your future. And we’re proud to stand with you—every step of the way.

What we do

At the Southern California District Council of Laborers (SCDCL), we stand for the hardworking men and women who build and maintain our communities.

We fight to ensure that every laborer has fair wages, strong benefits, and safe working conditions. We negotiate industry-leading contracts, advocate for pro-labor policies, and work tirelessly to keep our members on the job.

Through training programs, pensions, healthcare, and workplace protections, we provide the resources laborers need to build lasting careers.
